Welcome to Seasonal Sundays. I’ve shared with you some of my Fall fluffing and the fluffing continues!
Frequently my dining room table is either set, in the process of being set, or in the process of being taken apart.
Rarely, but sometimes, it’s arranged just to be itself! Love the deep colors of this runner (HomeGoods purchase last year).
I find it amazing how much mileage I can get out of drying my hydrangeas. I’ve got them everywhere (and best part is, they’re free!)
Do you ever have a concept and then have difficulties executing it?
I have this beautiful antique chair (it was my Grandmom Lillian’s) that is in my front entryway. It’s very thin and beautifully hand painted.
I usually have a little pillow propped upon it to add a bit of softness. I thought it would be neat to change out the pillow seasonally. But there are two issues. First it has to be a small pillow, narrow chair needs a small pillow. Second, finding a Fall motif that works with my blue damask walls can be a bit of a challenge. Click HERE to see the post on the vignette on the table.
Amazingly this past week I was in our local consignment shop and these two little pillows popped out at me. They were small, so issue number one was solved and they had Fall color AND blue in them so issue number two was solved. While I’m hesitant to buy soft items second hand, these were in great condition and too perfect to pass up.
In the front entryway there is this little radiator which I’ve always loved to dress up with the seasons. The problem is, it gets a lot of traffic and is not a particularly wide area so what to put there can be a bit of a challenge.
Last Spring I spied this flat back 2 tier wire basket. It works great in this difficult spot because of it’s flat back.
It was time to switch out the Summery baby cabbage plants and let the harvest colors run a muck.
In my living room I have a small round wood table that is situated by the French doors. It’s a perfect table for two. It too, like my dining room table, is frequently in a state of being set, actually set for a table for two or in the process of being taken apart. For a change, it’s actually arranged just to be itself. Note the hydrangea, yet again. This time a few feathers help along the Fall motif.
It’s so fun to perch little pieces of nature upon candle stick holders and give them a place of honor.
There is such a vast array of varying species available.
And now that I’ve finally got all of this in place, I scratch my head. Shouldn’t I be decorating for Halloween? Can’t wait to see what you’ve been up to.

Love your fluffing...and your grandmama's chair is a treasure. It reminded me...one time I saw someone take a straight back chair and hang it on a wall with the chair seat at shelf height. Then they had accessorized it like a shelf. It was so cool. Always thought that someday I'd do that...That's what I get for thinking. Cherry Kay
Thanks for inviting me! Sorry it took a week to get here! I enjoyed all your Autumn decor & I'm following now.

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! I adore Hydrangeas, & they will grow here (even in the desert), but they never get very large. Your dried ones are so, so pretty.

I must have a hydrangea like yours. Can't think of the name at the moment. I like your wire basket with the flat back-very versatile. Always enjoy your posts and this party is especially nice. So many gorgeous posts.
